# Sign in to join the discussion

You can now sign in with Google, GitHub, or Apple to comment on any Namegarage blog
post. Your account name appears beside the comment, along with the provider
you used. GitHub comments also link to the commenter's public profile.

This gives a discussion more context than a name typed into a box. A sign-in
shows control of an account; it does not prove someone's legal identity.
Comments posted before this change keep their original display names.

## The same moderation

Comments still go through review before publication. The owner can approve,
reject, or remove them through Telegram. Replies marked **Author** come from
the site owner.

Your email address stays private. The form preserves your draft while you
sign in, and you can read posts and approved comments without an account.

## Hosted with the site

We use Better Auth on Cloudflare for sign-in, with a separate database for
reader accounts. Google, GitHub, and Apple handle the login; Namegarage never receives
your password. Reading a post or playing its saved narration does not require
sign-in.
