Clearer status updates and a browser privacy declaration

A catalogue refresh can fail while you are browsing. Sending a contact message can take a moment. Those updates should be available to people using assistive technology without pulling them away from the field they are using.

The catalogue, domain pages, and contact form now keep their status regions in the page from the start. A message updates that existing region, including when a notice clears and later returns. Routine progress updates leave your focus where it is; a contact error still takes you to the explanation.

We also publish a Global Privacy Control declaration. It makes our existing support for that browser signal machine-readable. When your browser sends GPC, it overrides saved tracking grants. The declaration adds no tracking and changes no privacy choices. Our privacy policy explains the distinction between optional measurement and necessary security processing.
