A JavaScript and TypeScript client for the catalog
The official @namegarage/sdk package brings the public catalog and search API to JavaScript and TypeScript. Version 0.1.0 has no runtime dependencies and needs no account or API key.
npm install @namegarage/[email protected]
import { Namegarage } from '@namegarage/sdk';
const client = new Namegarage();
const matches = await client.searchDomains('meal-planning app', {
maxPrice: 5000,
limit: 3,
});
for (const domain of matches.results) {
console.log(domain.name, domain.price_usd, domain.url);
}
Use getCatalog() to read the published catalog snapshot, or searchDomains()
to filter results and get prices resolved against current availability. A null
price means offer-only. Follow a result's URL to review the name; a search does
not reserve it.
The package supports ESM and CommonJS in Node.js 22 or later and can be bundled
for modern browsers. TypeScript declarations ship with it. You can cancel
requests, set a timeout, and inspect typed HTTP errors. The client does not
retry automatically, so honor the server's Retry-After response before retrying.
Read the quickstart for examples. The source repository is public under the MIT license. The SDK reads public listings; it cannot buy or reserve names, send messages, sign in, or access private portfolio records.
